5 Thousand

Tomorrow (today, actually) my hit counter will top the 5,000 mark. I’m not sure what it means and I haven’t got any great insights or revelations – yet. I think it appropriate, however, that I express my gratitude to those of you who read my work regularly. Thank you. Changes in my life are occurring at an extremely rapid rate lately and I am still trying to take it all in. There will be more to come, but for now… Who’s going to be number 5,000?

**** Update ****
10:24 a.m. PDT

And by 11 a.m. PDT, the magic number was hit... By a spam-blog!

Actually, you were 4,999 - according to my site meter data. If no comes here before you see this... if the meter is still at 4,999 next time you come around... then you will be the grand prize winner!

Don, tell them what they've won!

I remember taking a little quiz or questionaire that asked whether certain significant events had taken place in the recent past. Things like moving, divorce, death in the family, changing jobs - not necessarily bad things, but big things.

They are then scored and a stress level is assigned. It then correlates to heath risks such as heart attack, etc. Fun stuff! Just taking the quiz stressed me out.

Thanks for asking, all is well.

mike, i know what you mean about those stress quizzes..i took one years ago and i ticked off 1-going through a divorce 2-parent dying 3-lost job/new job and a few others. basically if i weren't such an easy goin'gal i would've been a mental time bomb...or maybe i still am one. what's that sound?

Now if only some of those visitors would just leave some comments, huh? Well, I'm a little guilty of that myself. Sometimes I come over here to check to see what you've written.... am blown away by your prose, and need a day or so to collect my thoughts so I don't sound like a total idiot.
I blame it on the heat right now. It's a blistering 97 in the shade. Even the critters in the backyard are panting!

On to 6,000!
